A SINGLE woman’s five loans worth more than R140 000 were written off by the credit provider after intervention from the Credit Ombud.
In keeping with this year’s theme of Women’s month, which is “Women United in Moving South Africa Forward”, the office of the Credit Ombud is doing its part on a daily basis to assist women to become financially independent and stronger.
As World Consumer Rights Day is celebrated across the world on 15 March the Credit Ombud is one of the bodies in South Africa which continues to play a significant role in the South African credit landscape to assist consumers to know about and exercise their credit rights.
